Happy New Year Everyone! I'm starting this year with a new book and a new series. Here's a special peek into my current project. :)

Rock was turning the door handle when Jag grabbed his wrist. "Wait, knock first.”
“Why would I knock? This is our home.”
“Because, she doesn't know that, all she remembers is being chased in the middle of a storm. I'm willing to wager she thinks she's still on Earth.”

It's been an exciting week for me. I found out that one of my books, Wrapped In Fur has been nominated for a CAPA from The Romance Studio! I'm still completely in awe! To celebrate I thought I'd feature six sentences out of that story this week :)

Brand looked up to watch her stalk across the yard to the house and felt as though someone had just punched him in the gut.
Identical to the imprint in the snow, there was what looked to be a pair of snow-covered wings on Holly’s back. Sunlight glinted off the pristine flakes. No sooner had his brain processed what he was seeing, she shook, and the snow fell gently away down to the ground, leaving no trace of the impossible.
“What are you?” he called out, still feeling a bit disjointed.

One more Steampunked Six Sentence Sunday!

Steam-Driven Seduction was released on Friday:) Yeah!! I love the Steampunk genre and wish there was more out there. Here's another six sentence peek into my book. Last week, Miguel had spied on Kass in her bath and commented on her "attributes". This week we learn her reaction...

Did Miguel think she would be too embarrassed to bring it up in front of anyone, especially Julien? Miguel was about to learn that she no longer suffered from that kind of embarrassment.
In fact, she didn’t care who saw her body. It was merely a pretty package of skin and bones that housed her heart and soul. Her physical presence was nothing but a tool to be used in order to try to help others. No one gained the inner sanctum of her heart, nor did she think anyone ever would.

Steampunked Six Sentence Sunday!!!

Only 4 more sleeps till the release of my next Steampunk romance, Steam-Driven Seduction!!
Here is another small peak into this book...

“Oh, I should tell you, I lied.”

That didn’t surprise her, but his admitting it did. “About what?”

“I could see you perfectly in the water as I stood in the shadows.” He stepped back and the darkness engulfed him. She quickly lost track of where he was in the shadows until he whispered, “You have a beautiful ass.”

Have a great week and see you next Sunday!

Sunday Six Returns!

I know I have been MIA from SSS for a few weeks now and have I ever missed it! So I'm jumping back in with a passage from my upcoming book Steam-Driven Seduction. (Steampunked Lust 3) It will be released on December 14th

She tried to figure out what Miguel's motivation was to visit her in her bath. He was about to learn that she no longer suffered from that kind of embarrassment. In fact, she didn’t care who saw her body. It was merely a pretty package of skin and bones that housed her heart and soul. Her physical presence was nothing but a tool to be used in order to try to help others. No one gained the inner sanctum of her heart, nor did she think anyone ever would.

Six Sentence Sunday

The seventh book in my Ecstasy Lake series has been sent into my publisher and now I get to play in  one of my favourite worlds :) I love Steampunk so much and my fingers have been itching to get back into that world and find out what happened to Julien and Kassandra. Add a mysterious spy named Miguel and the three of them are melting my keyboard when their not cracking me up.

Julien heared the tap of approaching footsteps in the hallway and stepped back from Miguel’s grasp. “Sounds like  Kassandra’s will be joining us for dinner after all.”
“This is going to be fun,” Miguel sat up and propped both his elbows on the table, resting his chin on his fingers. “I'll wager she's dressed to take our breath away.”
“I wager she tries to kill one of us before the meal ends.”
Miguel looked far too excited at that prospect, “That would add a bit of excitement.”

One more peek into Lars, Cris, and Tara's story. If all goes well this this will be packed up and shipped to my publisher this week :)

Don’t worry, we’re going to take care of the two of you.” He reached over to the desk and handed her a box of tissues.
“Why would you do that?”
Lars looked at the tissues and back at her. “Because your face is all wet and you might want to blow your nose?”
She laughed again and this time it sounded a bit more real.

Six Sentence Sunday!!

I'm in the final stretch for my seventh Ecstasy Lake book and it's been a hell of a ride. Here's another quick peek and I'm back to work on it :)

Tara looked up at Lars and a flush of colour crossed over the top of her cheekbones. Reaching out, he traced a finger along her flushed skin.
“You’re blushing. Tell me why.”
Her blush darkened and Lars fought the urge to grab her and pull her into his lap. He wanted to cradle her in his arms and whisper erotic scenarios in her ear and see which made the colour darken.

Six Sentence Sunday!

It's been a crazy couple weeks with the Romance Convention in Dallas and the release of Surrounded by Fur. Thankfully after some adventures in airline scheduling I'm home and almost unpacked. More importantly I'm back to work on the 7th book in the series. This book features Lars, Cris and Tara.

Tara has no intention of stopping in Ecstasy Lake but a car accident right outside of town changes her life forever. :) I love Fate.

“I’m sorry for blubbering all over you.”
“I don’t mind at all.” Lars ran his fingers along the side of Tara's face and tucked some wayward hair behind her ear. She reminded him of a pixie with her short tousled hair and big eyes. She blinked up at him and he forgot what it was that made him want to keep some distance between them. He wanted to keep her close for the rest of their lives.

Six Sentence Sunday!!!

I had fun doing the Summer blog tour for the last few Sundays but I've really missed SSS! This week I'm giving you a peek into Surrounded by Fur. It's being released on August 17th ;)

“River, you’ll be staying here, or you won’t be leaving at all.”
That sounded much too much like being imprisoned. “You’re not my jailer, Hugh, and I’ll leave whenever the fuck I want to.”
River heard the soft “oh, shit” from the kitchen, a split second before Hugh lunged to his feet and tugged her to hers. “Come with me,” he snapped and manacled her wrists together in one hand. “You and I are going to come to an understanding.”

Sunday Six

This weeks six is from the book I have just started. Last week, I started with a peek into the newest  business to open up in Ecstasy Lake, The Big Bear Brewery. I thought I'd continue on with a peek into the men who are making their mark in my small town

“But, why would she go to a concert instead of coming here?"
Hugh growled behind him and Gavin heard the papers on his brother’s desk rustle around. “Because she likes the band or because we didn't personally asked her to come tonight.”
“How did we forget to do that?”
Something soft bounced off his head and a paper ball landed at his feet. “Gavin, go find someone pretty to distract you tonight and stop with the fucking questions.”

Sunday Six

I finished Protect and Fur and sent it off to my publisher this week! Yeah!! This weeks six is from the book I have just started. So many things to consider and ideas floating around in my head but here is a quick peek into the beginning. We're going to start at the newest business to open up in Ecstasy Lake, The Big Bear Brewery.

Gavin looked out over the bar crowd for the hundredth time. "I can't believe she isn't here tonight."

His brother, Hugh looked up from the paperwork that was scattered over his desk. "Boyd said she went to a concert in Toronto."

"How the hell did he find that out?"

Hugh shrugged, "Bartenders gossip, one of the guests told him."

Sunday Six

I'm tweaking Protect and Fur this weekend and plan to have it submitted this week. Last week, we saw a very submissive side of Brenna. This week, I'm giving you a glimpse into her normal temperament. :)

“Step one foot closer and I’ll neuter you.” She could feel her upper lip trembling and her teeth elongating, “and I won’t use anaesthesia on either of you.”
“You don’t mean that.” Aiden’s placating tone rubbed Brenna the wrong way and she growled low in her throat.
Craig reached out and grabbed Aiden by the shoulder. “She means it.”

Sunday Six

I don't think I've every tried to write a book where all three characters are resisting the idea of being together. Each of them have their history, hangups, and are down and determined to fight this every step of the way. Good thing I'm stubborn.

"But, you’re not human."

Craig's mistake slammed into his chest, right where Aiden had smacked him earlier. His friend was right. He wasn’t human, nor was he a little boy doomed to follow in his father’s footsteps. The wolf inside him howled and pushed against his senses. For the first time since the creature became part of his life, Craig allowed his instincts to take over.

Many thanks to everyone who have been commenting!! I really appreciate your taking time and comming by to visit :)

Sunday Six

This week I'm offering another peek into Protect and Fur :) Brenna is still doing her best to fight her attraction to Craig but now Aiden has join the battle.

Brenna grabbed the railing at the same moment her instincts screamed a warning. Arms wrapped around her body, pulling her back against a large male form. Craig’s scent slammed into her senses and her wolf rolled around in the scent of her Mates. Aiden moved in front of her and pressed his body against her chest, trapping her between them. She could feel his erection against her tummy, and Craig’s pressed against her back like a hot brand. They had her right where she wanted to be.

Sunday Six

It always amazes me when a secondary character pops up and starts talking to me. This week it was Lars who whispered briefly in my thoughts. I've been trying to get him to speak more but he still isn't ready to give up all his secrets. For now he's happy teasing me now and again.

"I don't think it's healthy for you to stay here all the time, Lars." River picked up one of his tools, held on to the end, and spun, enjoying the clicking sound it made, "you need to go out and find someone who will appreciate you."

River was like a little kid when it came to touching shiny things, so Lars plucked the wrachet from her hand before she broke it. "When your lost, the best idea is to stay put and let someone find you."

"How are you going to find her if you don't get out there and look?"

"I never said she's the one who's lost."

Sunday Six

I've taken a break from my current WIP to work on edits for Obsessed with Fur. It's scheduled to be released on April 23rd! Today's 6 comes straight from my edits room...

“Mai, I took biology and I can promise you that you're not going to have puppies." Jelani tried to placate their sister, who obviously wasn't finding him humorous this morning.

“Oh, aren’t you the funny one, Jelly," she crossed her arms over her extended belly and glared at him. "My husbands can shapeshift into wolves. What do you think of that?”

“I still don’t think you're going to have puppies.”

Sunday Six

I'm putting the finishing touches on Obsessed with Fur and plan to have it submitted this week. Now, I can finally give free reign to some of the voices that have been plaguing me for the past couple weeks. The loudest has been Kass. If you have read my second steampunk novel, Steamed Up Memories, then you're already familiar with this eccentric and secretive woman. Here's a little tease from her.

"You, get the hell off my ship!" Kass leveled her pistol at the arrogant ass sitting in her chair. She had done everything in her power to avoid being any where near this man in the last six years. The last thing she expected after today's raid, was to find herself face to face with him and have to deal with her body's immediate reaction.

"Technically, this is my vessel," Julian ignored her as he navigated the ship up away from the ground.

"You gave it to me as a wedding present!"

Sunday Six

Here's another unedited peek into my current WIP. Obsessed with Fur.
Things are heating up in Ecstasy Lake this week. :)

“Marcario likes to watch at first.”

Her gaze met Marcario’s and he winked at her but he spoke to his brother. “Take your time, because I could watch her all night.”

“He’ll never last that long.” Jelani whispered into her ear making her grin.

Marcario narrowed his eyes at them, “you make her smile like that again and I won’t be able to get my cock out of my pants quick enough.”

“I’d take that as a challenge, Jessica.”

Still working on Obsessed and getting closer to typing "THE END" :)Here's a peek into today's scene...

Jelani scanned the area in front of him. “Where'd that sniper go?”

“Watch your flank.” His brother replied, via the bud in his ear.

“Shit,” Jelani spun around in time to watch as the ground rushed up to meet him. “Dammit, that noob killed me again.”
