Oh Yoda, give me strength...
**nope nothing yet**
I've lost count how many times I've checked my email today. So far..nothing.
**no honey, nothing**
The party where the results are being announced started a little over an hour ago.
**still nothing**
Oh, how I wish I knew someone there. I would have given them my cell number and begged them to text me. LOL
**ahhhhh..nothing yet**

It never rains. It pours....
I have hit a MONDO dry spell when it comes to some of my favourite print authors. They all seem to be on the same release schedule which means either I have NOTHING to read or I have lots to choose from. Thankfully my favourite E-authors fill in the gaps, so I don't loose my mind.
Here's a list of books I'm waiting (not so) patiently for....
Beth Ciotta's Fall of Rome Famous for bending the law to get his man, former Wells Fargo detective Rome Garrett signs on with the Peacemaker Alliance, a covert government agency intent on taming the west. Unfortunately, his first assignment involves teaming up with the only woman who ever broke his heart. But bringing down cold-blooded killer Bulls-Eye Brady would restore his tarnished career, and as a personal bonus, he vows to show his old flame how it feels to love and lose. Retired cardsharp Kat Simmons has been in hiding for six years. Now she's being asked to risk her hard-won obscurity by baiting the very man she fears. Not only that, the plan involves spending intimate time with Rome, the only man she ever truly loved. Readopting her flamboyant persona, Kat joins Rome on a whirlwind poker tournament tour, gaining notoriety as they clean up at the tables. With any luck, when word gets out that Kat Simmons is back on the circuit, Bulls-Eye Brady will show up to reclaim the woman who "got away."
Angela Knight's Warrior In the 24th century, anyone can leap through time at will. To police the time jumpers, the Temporal Enforcement Agency has established a precinct in time. Galar Arvid is a genetically altered warlord and agent who's been sent back to 2008 to save a pretty Atlanta artist from a Xeran time traveler who intends to kill her for profit. What Galar doesn't count on is the powerful desire Jessica Kelly ignites in him. But could a romance between them work? A three-hundred-year chasm separates them and, even if they dart through time, there's still a maniacal killer on their tails
Both of these books have already been released and I have them, but they are my reward for finishing ALL edits on B.I.S. *G* If I don't cave first, I'm just not good with this type of temptation.
Alexis Morgan's Dark Warrior Uleashed July 31 A Talion enforcer, Ranulf Thorsen has served his people for a thousand years, delivering the eye-for-an-eye justice by which his kinsmen live. Weary of the centuries-long fight, the fierce warrior with icy blue eyes has secluded himself on a mountain far from the chaos of the modern world below. Now he's been summoned to face the most dangerous battle of his life --and the fate of his people is on the line.
But when he meets the beautiful womanhe has sworn to defend...
Kerry finds more than comfort in her warrior''s embrace, and Ranulf hungers to both defend and claim the petite powerhouse for his own. But with time ticking away and their lives on the line, will Kerry believe the wild tale he''s telling her, and master her powers...before it''s too late?
Nalini Singh's Hostage To Pleasure September 2 ~ Ashaya Aleine was separated from her son, forced to create a neural implant that will forever enslave her psychically gifted Psy race. After fighting a desperate battle to save her child and escape the PsyNet, she's lead not to safety, but into the lethal danger of a sniper's embrace.
Deborah Cooke's Kiss of Fury Aug 5 ~ Alexandra Madison has discovered an invention that could change the world. When her partner is murdered and their lab destroyed, Alex knows she has to rebuild her prototype in time...
Donovan Shea knows the Madison project is of dire importance to the ongoing Pyr/Slayer war. So when he sees Alex being followed by a Slayer, he reacts and defends her, never imagining that shes his destined mate...
As Slayers close in on their prey, Donovan knows heall surrender his life to protect Alexaand lose his heart to possess her...
Alexis Morgan's Mammoth Book Of Vampire Romances August 11 ~ Paranormal romance is a supernatural force to be reckoned with. Packed with a menagerie of werewolves, shape-shifters, and assorted demons, its undisputed king is none other than our favorite centuries-old bloodsucker—the vampire.
Let the biggest and brightest names in the paranormal romance business show you the bewildering array of complex vampire codes of conduct, dark ritual, and dating practices, as they chat up the locals and engage in the most erotic encounters you will sink your teeth into this side of un-Death. These ain’t your mother’s vampires!
Robin D Owen's Heart Fate September 2 ~ Wed to a wealthy older man when she was just a girl, Lahsin Yew runs away from her abusive home to find a new life. At seventeen, sheas about to enter her Second Passage, when her Flairaand perhaps her HeartMateawill be revealed.
Lahsin finds sanctuary in a secret garden, where she meets Tinne Holly. Though he is her HeartMate, he cannot tell her, and her troubled past prevents her from trusting any man. Pretending to find her by chance, Tinne helps her through her Second Passage. But when the truth is revealed, can she forgive his deception, and learn to trust in her destiny?
Alyssa Day's Atlantis Unleashed Aug ? ~ Poseidon's warriors swore eleven thousand years ago to save humanity from those who stalked the night. Now two souls--immortal and human--are all that stand between justice and the eternal darkness: a warrior prince and the beautiful and prescient archaeologist he's been sworn to protect.
And what are the chances of my saving any of these books to read when we go away in October....slim to none I'd say LOL

TSTL
I am up to my eyeballs in edits, wading though literally years of work. Fixing parts that, when they were first written, I had no clue about dialogue tags, POV...etc Okay to date I have them figured out, well at least I understand what I am looking for. My biggest challenge currently is THAN vs THEN…Oh hell I have no clue and they are scattered throughout my entire work.
Then (than?) today I suddenly realized that I am going to have to axe out a large scene. One of my favourites. It wrote up so well, has so much going on in it. Nothing better then a good chase scene.
What is the problem you might ask?
It makes my heroine look TSTL!! (too stupid to live) She deserves to get her ass beaten if she is dumb enough to do what she did. I'm racking my brain trying to think of a way to keep it in. It's not like the hero's swoop in and save her, she gets herself out of it. But still dumb dumb dumb, What were you thinking when you left? You were safe where you were.
It might have to go.
Dammit, there has to be a way around this.
The results to the S.O.M. are in a week, I've chewed most of my nails off. First, second, third or Honourable Mention, I am going to submit this come August.
If, I can figure my way out of the corner I have written myself into.

Just like a bad penny...
I'm turning up everywhere. *G* I've caught the Facebook bug. I'm amazed how many people I have found on there. Some I have no intention of letting know I am still alive....but that is another story. LOL

Bad Blogger
I know I know It's been ages since I posted. I was surprised myself that it has been so long. Why? Oh well Summer has a lot to do with it. I'm outside for the most part, watching the kids in the pool and if not there then I've been on the lap top working.
Yes I have been working on my WIP, instead of dreaming and having delusions of grandeur. Thinking about how wonderful a book will be, doesn't get it written. Sitting there allowing your ass to get numb, while you bang your head against the keyboard is how it's done. Occasionally, I place a comma in the correct place. If the stars align and everything works then I'd like to have this finished and ready to submit at the end of the month...Yikes!
I have to send out many thanks to Mechele, who has patiently waded through my rough work with red ink. I've learn so much about grammar from her, I almost understand some of it.
Also, I'm working with an awesome web designer on my very own website. I can't wait to show it to you. It's gorgeous!!! The only downfall making a commitment this large to my career as a future published author, is that nasty little voice in the back of my head. It's gotten louder in the past month. In regards to my talent and why am I bothering to create a website....*blah blah blah*
I've read a hundred times how every author has this little voice and how it never goes away.
Dammit.
I need to find some mental duct tape.
